Our Commitment to Quality

At Unitool, we stand behind every DIY tool and accessory we create. Our cordless rotary tools, ultrasonic cutters, precision electric screwdrivers, hand tools and related accessories are rigorously tested to ensure safe operation, consistent performance and a reliable experience for home users, hobby makers and professional DIY enthusiasts. This Warranty Policy explains your rights and our responsibilities.


Warranty Overview

Unitool offers a 1-year limited warranty on most DIY tools from the date you receive the goods.

Within the warranty period, if a product experiences a manufacturing defect under normal use, Unitool will, at its discretion, provide free repair or replacement of the defective tool or component after confirmation by our technical support team.

Please note:

  • Consumable parts such as cutting blades, drill bits, sanding bands, polishing pads, cutting mats and other wear parts are not covered as free replacement items unless they are found defective upon arrival.

  • Normal battery capacity loss over time, minor cosmetic wear, and expected wear from regular use are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered.

  • Customers are responsible for the shipping cost of sending the product back for inspection/repair.
    After repair or replacement, Unitool will pay for the shipping cost back to the customer.


Warranty Exemptions and Notes

The following situations are not covered by the Unitool warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear of tools and accessories (such as worn blades, bits, sanding accessories, polishing pads, etc.).

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper handling or storage, including but not limited to:

    • Using the tool on materials or in conditions beyond its specified capability.

    • Dropping, crushing, exposure to liquids, excessive dust, or extreme temperatures.

  • Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly or modification of the product.

  • Damage resulting from the use of non-original or incompatible accessories and parts.

  • Damage caused by improper power supply, such as using the wrong charger or voltage.

  • Any tool that has been further damaged because the customer continued to use it after a fault first appeared.

The customer voids the warranty if they:

  • Open the housing, circuit, motor or internal structure without written guidance from Unitool.

  • Modify, remove, customize or swap internal parts of the product.

  • Use the device in a way that it is not originally intended for (e.g. using a light-duty tool for heavy industrial work).

  • Continue to use the item once a fault occurs, causing additional damage.

  • Fail to contact us within a reasonable time after the problem first occurs.

However, in certain situations, our support team may explicitly instruct you to remove a cover or open a shell for diagnostic photos or simple part replacement. In this case, following Unitool’s written guidance does not void your warranty.


Return Authorization

All warranty returns must first be authorized by Unitool’s Support Team prior to sending any product back.

  • For any incomplete warranty request, Unitool reserves the right to refuse compensation.

  • If the customer returns a package without prior authorization (no RMA), sends it to the wrong address, returns the wrong item or an empty package, Unitool reserves the right to refuse any compensation.

All returned items will be inspected by our technical team upon arrival.
If the returned item cannot be repaired in a reasonable time, Unitool will offer an alternative solution, which may include replacement with the same model, an equivalent model, store credit or partial refund, depending on the case.


Special Notes

  • The shipping fee for returning the product to Unitool is paid by the customer and is non-refundable, except in confirmed DOA (Dead on Arrival) cases within 14 days.

  • During the return shipping, the customer is responsible for any customs charges, duties or tariffs incurred while the item is being returned to our warehouse. These fees may be deducted from any authorized refund amount if applicable.

  • Unitool will, by default, resend repaired or replacement items using standard shipping. If the customer wishes to use an express shipping method, the additional shipping fee will be borne by the customer.

  • In cases of misuse or customer-caused damage, any and all repairs, replacement accessories and shipping fees both ways are fully the customer's responsibility.


How to Request Warranty (Return, Repair or Refund)

Please first contact our Customer Service team (Email: support@unitool.com — replace with your actual email) with the information below:

  1. Describe the problem with your item in detail:

    • What happened?

    • When did it happen?

    • How did it occur?
      Please also state your full order number and the product name / SKU.

  2. Tell us what steps you have already taken to try to resolve or identify the issue.

  3. Send clear photos or videos (via a file-sharing link if needed) showing the defect(s) under good lighting and, if possible, during operation.

Our After-sales team will review the case and respond with a solution as soon as possible.


Other Special Product Warranty Notes

This warranty does not cover damages caused by:

  • Unauthorized disassembly or modification of electronic components, motors or battery packs.

  • Use of unofficial firmware or software to control the device.

  • Exposure to water, chemicals or corrosive environments beyond the tool’s designed protection level.

  • Severe impact, drops from height, or any other artificial factors.


DOA (Dead on Arrival) Items

If a product arrives damaged or non-functional out of the box, please contact us within 7 days of receipt.

  • We may request photos/videos and packaging information to confirm the DOA status.

  • After confirmation, Unitool will provide a replacement or refund according to your preference, and shipping arrangements will be communicated by our support team.


Unsatisfactory Products (14-Day Return Policy)

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for reasons other than defects (for example, you changed your mind), you may return it within 14 days from its delivery date for a refund or exchange.

Conditions:

  • The product must be returned in its original packaging, with all accessories, and in the same condition as received (unused or only lightly tested).

  • If the reason for return is not related to Unitool’s mistake (e.g. not defective, wrong model ordered by customer, no longer needed), you will be responsible for the shipping fees both ways.

  • The refund will be minus the original shipping fees and any applicable handling fees.


Local Maintenance and Self-Repair Guidance

Most Unitool products are modular and some issues can be resolved by replacing a small internal part or accessory rather than returning the entire unit.

  • To help you save time and international shipping costs, our technical team may guide you through simple checks or part replacement.

  • In such cases, we may ask you to provide photos or videos of the opened unit, but only after we explicitly authorize this step. This guided opening will not void your warranty.

  • If there is a reliable local electronics/tool repair shop in your area, you may request a quotation and share it with us before any repair is carried out.

    • Unitool may cover the repair fee if the cost does not exceed 20% of the product price and falls within our warranty terms.

    • Any repair performed without prior approval may not be reimbursed.


Replacement Parts

For certain tools and heavy or complex items, returning the whole product may not be practical due to high shipping costs.

  • In these cases, Unitool may offer to send replacement parts, accessories or internal modules, along with technical support so you can complete the repair locally.

  • Consumable and wear parts (blades, bits, sanding bands, polishing heads, etc.) may be purchased separately as needed.


Refurbished Products

From time to time, Unitool may sell refurbished or open-box products.

  • Refurbished products are items that were returned, repaired, tested and re-graded for resale at a special discounted price.

  • Unless otherwise stated on the product page, refurbished items are typically sold “as-is” without standard warranty.

  • If repairs or replacement parts are required after the purchase of a refurbished product, the customer is responsible for purchasing the necessary parts and any related service.

By purchasing a refurbished product, you acknowledge and agree to the refurbished product terms stated on the product page.


Order Cancellation

Customers may cancel their order before the order has shipped and within the time frame specified on the website’s order policy page.

  • Once an order has been shipped (or a shipping label has been created), it can no longer be canceled and will instead be treated as a return request under our 14-day return policy.

  • Any applicable transaction or payment processing fees may be deducted from the refunded amount, depending on your payment provider’s policies.
